About Hilton for Luxury
A Texas hotel bought on a whim.
Hilton began in 1919, when Conrad Hilton went to Cisco, Texas, to buy a bank and bought the Mobley Hotel instead. The first hotel to carry the Hilton name opened in Dallas in 1925, and the company went on to pioneer room service, the minibar and the airport hotel. Its luxury collection is led by Waldorf Astoria, heir to the New York landmark; Conrad, named after the founder and designed for confident, contemporary travel; and LXR, a collection of independent-minded hotels with strong local character.
Hilton for Luxury is Hilton's invitation-only programme for top-producing luxury travel advisers, formerly known as Impresario. A booking made through a member adviser at Waldorf Astoria, Conrad or LXR carries the programme's benefits, and your Hilton Honors status and points still count. It suits Honors members who want an adviser's care and their loyalty rewards in the same booking.
