About The Peninsula PenClub
Hong Kong's grande dame, and her sisters.
The Peninsula belongs to The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, a company first incorporated in 1866 and long associated with the Kadoorie family. Its flagship, The Peninsula Hong Kong, opened on Kowloon's waterfront in December 1928 and was the first hotel to carry the name. The style is grand and assured: liveried page boys, afternoon tea in the lobby, and a level of polish that runs from Tokyo to Paris. There are just 12 Peninsula hotels, from Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing to London, Istanbul, New York and Beverly Hills.
PenClub is The Peninsula's programme for its partner travel advisers. On the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya, the hotel's W-shaped tower gives every room a view of the river, and its teak shuttle boats cross to the city side in minutes.
