About Hyatt Privé

A Chicago family's quiet empire.

Hyatt began in 1957, when Jay Pritzker bought the Hyatt House motel beside Los Angeles International Airport. With his brother Donald he built it into a hotel company, and in 1967 the first Hyatt Regency opened in Atlanta. Today the group is headquartered in Chicago and its luxury and lifestyle brands include Park Hyatt, Alila, Andaz and The Unbound Collection: understated, art-filled hotels and resorts that favour calm over spectacle. Hyatt's portfolio now runs to more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 83 countries.

Hyatt Privé is an invitation-only collective of travel advisers who work closely with Hyatt's luxury and lifestyle hotels. Book through a Privé member and the hotel knows your stay came through the programme, with the benefits attached and World of Hyatt points still earned. It suits Hyatt regulars who want an adviser handling the details, from Park Hyatt cities to Alila retreats.
