About IHG Destined

Born of the golden age of flying.

IHG's luxury story starts in 1946, when Pan American Airways founder Juan Trippe created InterContinental to give his passengers hotels worthy of the new jet routes; the first, the Grande in Belém, Brazil, followed in 1949. InterContinental Hotels Group took its present form in 2003, and its luxury and lifestyle family now includes Six Senses, Regent, InterContinental, Vignette Collection, Kimpton and Hotel Indigo. The styles range widely, from Six Senses' barefoot wellness to Regent's sleek city glamour, across around 595 luxury and lifestyle hotels in more than 80 countries.

IHG Destined is the group's invitation-only programme for luxury travel advisers. A booking made through an approved Destined agency carries the programme's benefits at participating hotels, and you still earn IHG One Rewards points. It suits travellers who like variety, mixing a Six Senses island with a Kimpton city stay, and want one adviser to stitch the trip together.

Where we would book first

Regent Hong Kong

Hong Kong

The harbourfront icon of 1980 that made the Regent name, reopened after a full renovation as the flagship of the brand's relaunch. Ask for a harbour-view room: the skyline fills the window.
