Four Seasons Bangkok Hosts the World Alba White Truffle Auction Dinner
Seven chefs, seven courses and GAJA pairings at Riva del Fiume on November 8, closing with a live truffle auction from Italy in aid of charity.
On Sunday, November 8, 2026, Riva del Fiume Ristorante at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River hosts the XXVII World Alba White Truffle Auction. The evening is a seven-course dinner cooked by seven Italian chefs and paired throughout with GAJA wines. It closes with a live auction broadcast from Italy. This is the third consecutive year the event has been held in Thailand, which makes it a settled date on Bangkok’s autumn calendar for anyone who follows the white truffle season.
The format is simple and well judged. Each of the seven chefs takes a single course and builds a signature creation around Alba White Truffle. The menu therefore reads as a sequence of distinct kitchens working with one shared ingredient, each bringing its own handwriting to it. Across the evening the guest sees how a langoustine course, a pasta, a slow-cooked main and a dessert can each be shaped by the same truffle, and how differently seven cooks choose to show it off.
Executive Chef Andrea Accordi leads the line-up. He is joined by chefs from Cannubi by Bombana, CLARA Bangkok, Côte by Mauro Colagreco and etcha, and by a guest from Borgo Sant’Anna in Piedmont, the region the truffles and the wines both come from. Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Bonaffini completes the seven with dessert. Gathering this many of the city’s kitchens at one table is the real draw: it is a single sitting that would otherwise take a week of reservations across Bangkok, with a Piedmontese voice added to the room.
Three dishes have been named as highlights. Accordi will serve roasted langoustine with carbonara and pear mustard, a course that sets sweet shellfish against the richness of a carbonara and the bite of mustard fruit. Susto contributes homemade spaghettini with Alpine cheese fondue, the kind of plain, generous pasta that white truffle suits best. Laera brings a slow-cooked rooster royal, a dish of patient technique and deep flavour. The remaining courses will each carry the same truffle in their own way.
Every course is matched with GAJA wines from Piedmont. The pairing ties the dinner firmly to its source: the wines and the truffle share a home region, and the evening is built so that each glass belongs to the plate in front of it. For guests who know Piedmont, it is a familiar and welcome pairing, carried across to a terrace on the Chao Phraya.
The final act is the auction itself. Once dinner is served, the room joins a live broadcast from Italy in which some of the season’s most prized Alba White Truffles go under the hammer. It gives the Bangkok table a direct link to the event’s home and turns the end of the meal into a shared occasion with the other host cities following along.
The proceeds raised in Bangkok support the Border Patrol Police School Foundation under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The foundation funds education for children in remote communities, so the evening’s indulgence carries a clear and worthwhile purpose. For many guests, that charitable thread is part of what makes the dinner worth attending year after year.
