The Westin Jakarta Marks World Wellness Weekend with Sleep, Spin and a Sunday Run
Tea in the Presidential Suite, a skyline spin class with Revel and a Car Free Day run: how The Westin Jakarta marked World Wellness Weekend 2026.
The Westin Jakarta spent World Wellness Weekend, from 18 to 20 September 2026, putting Westin’s three wellbeing pillars (Sleep Well, Move Well and Eat Well) to work across three days. There was a tea-and-dinner evening in the Presidential Suite, an indoor-cycling session with Revel Jakarta high above Kuningan, and a Sunday-morning run during Car Free Day on Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said. The events are over. What they showed about how to use the hotel is still worth knowing.
World Wellness Weekend is a global movement held each September. It encourages people and communities to adopt healthier habits for body and mind. Westin has built its brand around wellbeing, and the Jakarta hotel treated the weekend as a showcase for things guests can do on an ordinary stay, from the Heavenly Bed to its fitness and spa facilities.
The weekend opened on Friday 18 September with Sleep Well with TWG Tea, held in the hotel’s Presidential Suite. TWG Tea led an evening tea ritual, with a selection of its teas set out for tasting on the suite’s marble tables.

A dinner shaped around Westin’s Sleep Well principles was served at the suite’s dining table, and Heavenly Spa by Westin added its own wellness moments to the evening.

Guests spent part of the evening in Westin robes in the suite’s living room. The idea behind the evening is simple. Rest is part of wellbeing, and a good night’s sleep is the easiest part of a hotel stay to get right. The evening gave guests a slower pace, some calming rituals and a few ideas for better sleep habits.

On Saturday 19 September the hotel partnered with Revel Jakarta, the city’s indoor-cycling studio, for Move Well with Revel. Rows of bikes were set up at Wayra on level 67, with Jakarta’s skyline behind the glass balustrade. Revel instructors led the class with music and coaching, and riders were encouraged to go at their own pace.

A class that high up changes the experience. Riding with the city spread out below feels very different from a basement gym. For hotel guests, it is also a reminder that the Westin’s wellness offer spreads across the whole tower. The hotel’s permanent facilities sit together on level 50: Heavenly Spa, the WestinWORKOUT studio, changing rooms with sauna and hot bath, and the pool.

The weekend closed on Sunday 20 September with Run, Refuel, Recharge, organised with Balans Nutrition and Evian. The hotel’s address made the timing easy. Jakarta’s Car Free Day clears the city’s main avenues of traffic on Sunday mornings, and that morning Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, the road the Westin stands on, was open to runners. Participants in matching sage-green shirts warmed up together before heading out.

After the run came recovery. Balans Nutrition provided post-workout refreshments made with nutrient-dense ingredients, chosen to restore energy after the effort. The point was the link between exercise and eating well, and the idea that wellbeing can continue after check-out as a set of everyday habits.

“At Westin, wellness is more than an amenity. It is the foundation of every guest experience,” said Yesaya Siagian, Director of Marketing Communications at The Westin Jakarta. “Through World Wellness Weekend, we hope to inspire our guests to prioritize their wellbeing through simple yet meaningful habits, whether it is getting better rest, enjoying movement, or making mindful nutritional choices. Wellness should feel accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable.”

The three events were one-offs, but the pattern works for any weekend at the hotel. A guest arriving on a Friday can book a treatment at Heavenly Spa and have an early night on the Heavenly Bed. Saturday can start in the WestinWORKOUT studio or at the pool on level 50. On Sunday, the car-free avenue outside the lobby is there for a morning run before breakfast. Brand-wide, Westin also offers gear lending and an Eat Well menu, so a light suitcase is no excuse.
