The Westin Jakarta has turned its Champagne Lounge on level 52 into a gallery for the month of October. The Westin Jakarta Gallery: Heritage Above The City runs from 1 to 31 October 2026 and brings together three Indonesian names: TULOLA Jewelry, Garuda Kencana Batik and the fashion designer Ferry Sunarto.

The hotel describes the showcase as a month-long celebration of Indonesian culture, craftsmanship and creativity. For its duration the lounge, which the Westin counts among the highest hospitality venues in the city, holds installations and pieces from each of the three collaborators, with the Jakarta skyline behind the glass.

Garuda Kencana Batik represents textiles. In the hotel’s words, the house shows timeless textile artistry reimagined for modern lifestyles. The batik display sits in a lit alcove beneath the lounge’s windows, where hand-patterned cloths in indigo and cream are draped over bamboo rails against a wall of floral batik.

TULOLA Jewelry presents handcrafted pieces inspired by Indonesia’s cultural stories and heritage. The card beside its display describes two works drawn from the dance traditions of the archipelago: Janger, from Bali, and Ta’e Benu, from the island of Rote. Both are shown on wooden mannequins, one in gold and one in strands of coral red.

Ferry Sunarto completes the trio with fashion. The designer has contributed three looks, set on mannequins within a frame of flowers, which the hotel describes as creations that embody refinement, elegance and Indonesian identity. Taken together, the three displays cover cloth, adornment and dress, and the exhibition presents them as a meeting of heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury.

“At The Westin Jakarta, we believe hospitality goes beyond accommodation. Through meaningful and enriching experiences, we aim to help guests feel inspired, connected and well,” said Yesaya Siagian, Director of Marketing Communications at The Westin Jakarta. “We are honored to bring together respected creators who preserve Indonesia’s rich heritage while reinterpreting it for today’s generation. Through this exhibition, we hope to inspire dialogue between tradition and modernity while offering guests an immersive cultural experience above the city.”

The Westin places the gallery within its approach to wellbeing. Heritage Above The City invites guests to slow down, appreciate artistry and form a deeper connection with local culture, which the brand sees as part of feeling well while travelling. The exhibition is open throughout October to hotel guests and to local visitors, media, business partners and anyone with an interest in Indonesian culture.

For travellers staying at the hotel this month, or anyone with an hour to spare in Kuningan, it is a good reason to take the lift to level 52.
