Impression Isla Mujeres joins The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
The 123-suite, adults-only all-inclusive resort at Punta Sur is now part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, and Endless Privileges still applies.
Hyatt announced on 2 November 2026 that Impression Isla Mujeres has joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The adults-only, all-inclusive resort has 123 suites and sits on the southern tip of Isla Mujeres near Punta Sur, off Cancún. Couples who book it now get a butler-serviced Caribbean stay within a collection of individually minded luxury hotels, and Endless Privileges, one of Hyatt’s signature sets of luxury inclusions, continues to apply.
The resort opened in May 2023 as Impression by Secrets. Its move into The Unbound Collection by Hyatt comes in the collection’s 10th anniversary year, which is a sensible moment to add a property with a clear sense of place. The format stays the same: the resort remains adults-only and all-inclusive, so the main change for guests is the collection it belongs to.
The setting is the main reason to go. Punta Sur is the southernmost point of Isla Mujeres, and the resort stands near a historic sanctuary associated with Ixchel, the Maya goddess. Hyatt describes the location as naturally sheltered and seldom affected by sargassum, the seaweed that can wash up along parts of the Caribbean coast. That makes the beaches a highlight all year round, which matters for anyone planning a winter escape or fitting a trip around school or work calendars.
Every one of the 123 suites has a private terrace, and many look out over the Caribbean Sea or the surrounding coastline. Personalised butler service is part of the stay, and around the resort there are infinity pools and private Mayan soaking tubs. With a key count this size, the resort reads as an intimate address with the facilities of a much larger one.

There is plenty of choice at the table, which helps on a longer all-inclusive stay. Seven restaurants cover Italian, pan-Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean menus, and there is a grill. Five bars and lounges are open through the day, so the resort’s rhythm can run from a slow morning coffee on the terrace to a late drink by the water without leaving the property.
Wellbeing is centred on the PURE Spa, which has a hammam and a Floatarium. The resort has recently added yoga hammocks, wellness cabanas and TRX equipment, which suits guests who want structured movement alongside time at the spa and by the pool. It also has independent recognition: Impression Isla Mujeres received the AAA Five Diamond designation in 2026 and was named to AAA’s 2026 Top 10 Hotels list.
The resort’s look draws on several contributors. Mexican artist César López Negrete, architect Javier Uma and marine life artist Wyland have all shaped its design, and Wyland’s involvement fits the resort’s commitment to the sea. Through the Saving Our Sharks Foundation, the resort puts a portion of room revenue towards marine conservation, and it hosts snorkelling and shark-tagging excursions for guests. For travellers who want their time on the water to mean something, these outings are a practical way into the island’s marine life.
For planning, the essentials are simple. Isla Mujeres lies off Cancún, so the resort works well for couples who want a Caribbean island setting within reach of a major gateway. The adults-only, all-inclusive format makes budgeting straightforward, butler service takes care of the details, and the sheltered beach gives the stay a dependable centre. Guests who already plan around Hyatt’s Endless Privileges inclusions can now add a Punta Sur address under The Unbound Collection by Hyatt to their shortlist.
