The Apurva Kempinski: A Majestic Bali Wedding Venue
The Apurva Kempinski Bali pairs an ocean-front chapel with Majapahit-inspired grandeur — inside the setting, packages and costs of a Bali wedding.
A modern palace drawn from the design heritage of Indonesia’s prosperous Majapahit kingdom, The Apurva Kempinski is among Bali’s most striking beachfront addresses — and, from its cascading perch above Nusa Dua, one of the island’s most majestic wedding venues. What follows is a full look at the chapels, the packages and their costs, and the ocean-view suite that comes with them.
The Apurva Kempinski at a glance
- The Apurva Kempinski is a beachfront resort in Nusa Dua, Bali, opened in February 2019
- Cascading terraces frame uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean
- Interiors are rich with traditional Indonesian motifs and craftsmanship
- Three ocean-front chapels make it one of the island’s finest wedding venues
- Ocean-view suites come with their own private cliffside pools
- The breakfast buffet is, to our mind, among the best in Bali
Watch the wedding-venue film
The film walks through all three chapels — the grand ocean-front Apurva Chapel and the smaller, more intimate Amala and Kimaya cliff chapels, each set above the sea.
The ocean-front chapel
“Apurva” means “unique and magnificent” in Sanskrit, and the resort lives up to the name. Its Majapahit design heritage is visible at every turn, and simply walking the grounds is an experience in itself.

The Cliff Private Pool Ocean Suite
Every wedding package includes a two-night stay in a Cliff Private Pool Ocean Junior Suite. At 100 square metres it is genuinely spacious, with floor-to-ceiling glass drawing in the light and its own private pool overlooking the ocean.
Booking tip: for extra privacy, request a suite closer to the Cliff Lounge and further from the elevator wings.

Cliff Lounge & pools
Suite guests enjoy exclusive access to the Cliff Lounge and its pools, where a selection of complimentary cocktails and drinks is served daily between 5pm and 7pm.

Pala Restaurant & Rooftop Bar
Pala Restaurant and its rooftop bar serve Western and Asian dishes throughout the day — a generous breakfast buffet in the morning, an à la carte menu at lunch, and a dinner buffet in the evening. The salmon and beef are our picks.

Getting there
The Apurva Kempinski sits on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, roughly 25 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
